Family Snow Photos in Denver, Colorado

Colorado’s weather this season has been up and down, but has actually dumped a pretty good amount of snow in Lakewood, Colorado. I LOVE to go out and photograph your family any time of the year, but snow sessions are WAY FUN!

I offer family mini sessions in a park close to my house. It’s convenient for me and because it’s a little cold outside, they are only 20 minutes long. Perfect for any size family to come out and run around in a big field of snow.

Women In Business | Emily Kamala, What Wellness Is

Wellness is how you, as an individual, define it. It’s you creating a lifestyle that fits with your values and your beliefs. It’s staying true to yourself, living authentically, and not letting media and marketing tell you that you “should” be something that in your heart you’ve never wanted to be. Having Emily support me in writing these blogs has been an interesting ride. She’s all about eating organic, regenerative agriculture, minimal impact, advocating for these pieces, and transforming lives.

Summer Family Portraits | Dimmick Family | KW Designs Photography

I had the pleasure of photographing the Dimmick family recently at the beautiful Hildebrand Ranch Park in Littleton, Colorado. I absolutely love summer evening photo sessions!

The sun was bright, then clouds filled the sky, and then the sun peeked through again. We photographed in front of the barn, climbed and sat on some big boulders and then found the trees by the stream.

It was a joy to see the girls running around in the open space and the sweet moments with their grandparents and uncle and of course, mom and dad.

Kids grow quick and the moments can be fleeting as time continues ticking. What’s that saying? “The days are long but the years are short”. Schedule your family photo session today, you won’t regret it! Email me to get on my summer schedule before the busy fall rolls around.

More on the location of our photo session. Hildebrand Ranch boasts a beautiful scenic view of the valley originally homesteaded by Frank and Elizabeth Hildebrand settled in Deer Creek in 1866 on 160 acres. In March 1973 Denver leased 750 acres from Chatfield and 67 for the Denver Botanic Gardens which included the ranch's original buildings and is now owned and operated by Jefferson County Open Space for the public to enjoy. Check the website for the hiking trails around that area. Lots of wildlife and beautiful sunsets in a pretty secluded location. A Jefferson County Open Space photography permit is required to photograph on the property.

Until next time, cheers ~
