When we get these big years many people who have an apple tree, or even a neighbor with one, will likely be looking up ways to harvest, eat, and keep these around for the coming year. Without even knowing why, you’re remembering a family dinner from your childhood. Everyone laughing, your grandmother bringing out that one specific dish that always made your mouth water and your belly warm. Then you’re remembering when she made it for you when you were in college, or a birthday. You remember wanting to learn how to make it and sliding up next to her in the kitchen asking to help and watching her every move as she carefully pulled all of the ingredients together. You remember making it for the family after she passed away. The smiles and joy that showed up that night as everyone shared their memories.

We’ve definitely felt the waves from the sun! While I’m taking some beautiful photos in Lakewood for families, my own family is looking for ways to cool off.
One of our favorite ways to beat the heat is to get away into the mountains for fly fishing or camping. When we can’t get up to the hills, we’re home calling back the Georgia summers with a favorite pastime. Peaches. Georgia is known for its peaches and everything you can create with them. As soon as I moved here, I had to experience the buzz around Palisade Peaches.
